Vonnegut Fans: Pre-Order, Essays, Pictures of Authors, Vonnegut Bio on “So It Goes” Site
SO IT GOES (cf. February 21, January 3, 25) now has an “official” website via Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing, complete with a biography of Kurt Vonnegut, essays by several of the authors appearing in the anthology, author portraits (many self-drawn in cartoon style — I demurred myself, sending a photo instead, but with reason as is revealed in my entry on the essay page, “Vonnegut and the Absurd”), and an opportunity to pre-order it now. As explained by Editor/Publisher Max Booth III, SO IT GOES “is a tribute anthology to the best satirist of our time. The stories you will find in this book will fill you with Vonnegut nostalgia. This is for him and for his readers.”
It’s all kind of neat, really, the four essays posted thus far in particular (with more, hopefully, to come) giving personal insights into Vonnegut and his work. And the pictures (with links to bios) on the authors’ page not only add more of a personal touch, but some are funny! Also to come, the editor adds he is “brainstorming some creative contest ideas that would allow people to win free copies of the book,” plus possibly some other features as well. Those with ideas are invited to share them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The site itself can be reached by pressing here, where at the top you’ll see buttons for essays, authors, biography, etc. Also, as noted, there is a button for early orders too, with the anthology itself expected to be out at the end of March.
